About me

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science (NLP group) at the University of Sheffield, UK. I use Natural Language Processing and Music Information Retrieval to work on song lyrics, under the supervision of Prof. Rob Gaizauskas and Dr Mark Hepple.

In February 2023, I started my role as a University Teaching Associate in the same department. Prior to this, I worked as a Teaching Associate at the University of Nottingham, and as a programming instructor in Code First Girls. Additionally, I volunteered as a Python Guru for Cookies & Code.

I moved to Sheffield back in 2017, when I started an MA in Cognitive Studies, combining Computer Science with Linguistics and Cognition. Before that, I obtained a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Piraeus in Greece.

I am insterested in projects that involve song lyrics (or other textual information in the context of Music Information Retrieval), cognition, and language learning.
